6 July 2007 Jus DisneyAnd when I reached the stop, I was taking photos of the train station while trying to keep up in following the crowd. Wasted some time in trying to know where to get the tickets because some people with tickets told me to get it from the train station, but after queuing at the train station, I was told to get the tickets inside.
And so there is this small gate thats guarded by security guards checking through our bags but none of them asked me for a ticket. I thought to myself, so this is the entrance to Disney? And nobody asked me for a ticket? Of course I thought I was smart and could enter Disneyland without a ticket. Haha.
And so I went in and was greeted by a huge garden with waterfalls and flowers. Everything seems so nice and I didnt feel cold. I was busy taking photos and getting someone else to take photos with me. Even the mickey-shaped tiles on the floor puts a smile on my face.
The problem with getting a stranger to take a photo for you is that you cant quite specify how you want the photo to be taken. Different people jus look at things differently, and I dont think a photo is simply jus a photo. Its difficult to ask colleagues to do the same thing, and the only comfortable is with friends or family members. But never mind.
There is this huge castle like building at the front, in which I feel like banging my head to realise it is the ticketing station. The queues have already formed and this is one time when I felt left out. Everyone has someone with them but me.
I tried to decide if I want a one-day pass or a two-day pass. Ended up that I got a two-day pass but ask to change to a one-day pass after calling Mum. I guess two-day pass is too much a gamble, because no one knows how I will be coping in Disney all by my own.
6 July 2007 9hours of Disney funAnd so I went into Disneyland, with a ticket and felt lost. Dont know which direction to take, I looked at the map. As though it helps, a map-idiot. I remember that I love the loud and chirpy music, because it makes me feel less lonely. I was busy taking photos, taking videos, looking around and popping into the numerous stores to subsequently feel lonely at all.
The endless Mickey merchandise greet me. Mickey shoes, Mickey dustbins, Micket jackets, Mickey tee, Mickey postcards (and so I stopped myself from grabbing them but observes for inspiration in making cards), Mickey flower pots, Mickey showcast display, Mickey figures, Mickey hanging from the walls. So exciting, especially to be in stores specially done up with the dreamy feeling. I grabbed two Mickey table cloth and knew that this is not going to be my only Mickey purchases.
And so very spilt between exploring the stores or exploring the castles and rides, eventually I jus alternate between the two of them.
Everyone loves that pink castle, me too. Jus have to get people to take photos of me in front of the castle.
Everything's Mickey, everything so for me.
